Wexford FC 2017 Season Launch
Wexford Football Club held it's 2017 season launch today, in the Talbot Hotel Wexford.
The public meeting, hosted by Brian de Salvo, was a chance for the public to hear from the club committee, and to ask any questions that they had.
After a brief presentation from finance officer Ray Noonan on the formation of the club, it was the turn of first team manager Damian Locke to be quizzed by de Salvo on how pre-season had gone so far, and his assessment of the squad. Locke noted that although there have so far been two defeats in friendly matches, he was happy with the application of the players and was looking forward to getting back on to the pitch.
Club secretary Barry Devereux then introduced Shona Kavanagh from Wexford charity The Collective Sensory Group. The club were delighted to announce that while negotiations are continuing with various parties about club sponsorship, Wexford FC will proudly display the CSG logo across their jerseys for the first few games of the season. Shona expressed her gratitude to the club and wished us all the best for the coming season.
After the 2017 home and away jersey had been revealed, de Salvo invited questions from those in attendance.
